We are looking for an onsite resource with the following job description
very urgently:
Sharing one sample profile , this candidate profile was liked by client.
*This position is to provide:*
- Porting embedded systems software from bare metal to KVM based virtual
machine, development of drivers to access proprietary hardware from
inside the VM, setting up build system, KVM image creation, system bring
up & debugging, and performance analysis.
*Day-to-Day Responsibilities: *
- June- July 2014
- Support for 64 bit Host and 32 bit 3rd party in the clear case and
build environment
- Check in kernel source and root file system in clearcase
- Update emake/make build environment to build Host, NOS VM and 3rd
party VM as part of a single BD. Use common 32/64 bit tool chain.
- Generate KVM disk image in the build system
- August – October 2014
- Develop virtual drivers for MP and LP proprietary hardware
components to allow access to the these hardware devices from a
VM as well
as from the host when required. Modify QEMU if required.
- 3rd party application home run port and in band management support
- KVM performance testing
- Nov – December 2014
- Netinstall extension for KVM
- Firmware download extension for KVM
- Help in NOS porting to KVM, bring up and testing
*Education Requirement:*
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or
equivalent field
*Experience*
- Experience in 0x86 architecture and assembly language, C-language and
GNU binary tools
- Experience in 0x86 based Linux KVM is a must. Specifically VTx, VTd,
PCIe, SR-IOV technologies, QEMU internals, virtio drivers and Libvirt.
- At least *15 years *of experience in core kernel (process and memory
management), system bring up and driver development.
