This support includes Host Mainframe computer hardware and related systems and applications. The incumbent applies experience and technical expertise to ensure a high level of system performance and availability, customer service and satisfaction. The incumbent works in a team environment to deliver our services and meet customer service levels. Must have a thorough understanding of the technologies he/ she is responsible for. *Specific Job Functions: * Resolves incidents and issues associated with Mainframe hardware and software and host application product set. Follows process and procedure and escalates issues as appropriate. Executes and/or manages changes related to Mainframe, that may include hardware and software installations, upgrades, removals, reconfigurations, repairs and/or re-cabling. Utilizes various tools to monitor the environment and react quickly to issues that impact mainframe infrastructure and business applications. Technical Skills: - Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in supporting host main frame computer systems - Understand and Support ZOS, Z processor, and Job Entry Systems(JES) - Understand and Support Online Systems such as: CICS, DB2, MQ, and IMS - Understand and Support Host interactions with server infrastructure - Understand and Utilize CA7 and CA11 Scheduling Tools and applications - Understand and Utilize Autosys Tool for batch processing - Understand and Support JESPlexed/SYSPlexed integration - Understand and Support Shared Coupled Facilities - Understand and Support Mainframe monitoring and alerting tools. - Understand and Support mainframe system utilities, standalone dump, console dump ,etc. - Understand and Support MVS and LPAR configurations - Understand and Support HMC systems and IPL processes. - Understand and capable of using all Command sets and utilities on the tools and systems above. *Soft Skills: * - must be able to follow technical processes and procedures - must be able to work within a team environment and adapt well to changing environment - must be an excellent multi-tasker and flexible to various work demands - must be service delivery focused, with a positive attitude - must be a good communicator and adapts to various customer support situations - must be able to work well under pressure - must be able to interact with various levels of management and support groups - must be responsive, quick to execute and take action - must be able to work independently, with little supervision. - must be a quick learner and quick to pick up technology - must be able to implement solutions relating to technical problems and deficiencies with minimal direction from management - must have a continuous improvement mindset - must be able to adjust to ever changes work priorities and schedules. - must have excellent documentation skills - must be willing to share knowledge and coach and mentor others. - *Work Schedule: * Work Hours – Monday – Friday, 08:00-17:00 Day Shift work schedule.
