If you are interested kindly send your resumes at [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Role : Oracle Pl/SQL Developer* *Location : Charlotte, NC* *Duration : 6+ months* *Job Description:* · Analyze software problems in complex data driven applications to determine root causes · Recommend and implement appropriate solutions through application code changes (including batch processes and database scripts). · Analyze and fulfill user requests and questions related to reinsurance systems. In some cases, this may require participation in requirements or design meetings to develop/clarify business and/or technical requirements. · Support application testing through the execution, review and/or development of test plans to ensure quality in software releases/fixes. In some cases this may require working directly with employees to facilitate user-testing, implementation post implementation review of business systems. · Adherence to software development lifecycles and best practices. *Experience and Education (Minimum Requirements):* · Recent experience supporting business critical applications. Preferably complex, data-driven applications in insurance industry or equivalent experience. Includes online applications and batch processes. · Must be able to support GUI, batch and DB components of these applications. · Specific technical needs include... · Expert skills with Oracle PL-SQL development and relational databases · Very strong skills with object oriented technologies and MVC frameworks · Very strong skills with Java-based web technologies including JSF, Hibernate, Spring, AJAX, Apache Tomcat, Ant, Maven · Good skills with Linux and related scripting languages (i.e. PERL, Python) · Some experience with PowerBuilder, SQL Server, C# and ASP.NET is beneficial · Strong logical thinking and problem solving skills. · Strong interpersonal, verbal written communication skills. · Demonstrated ability to function independently and as an integral member of a team. · Regular onsite attendance is a requirement of this role. Estimated 40 hours/week during normal business hours. · BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience. · Insurance or financial services background, preferred.
