*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
*Information Security Analyst*
Information Security Analyst to help design, write and implement the
security charter and all security related policies, standards and
procedures for the agency. These will include an incident response plan,
system security plans for each program area, proper usage documents, mobile
devices and BYOD policies and data protection policies. The candidate will
also design and educate end users on information security best practices.
The result of this 6 month contract position will be the delivery of
standard templates and security policies, standards and procedures.
*Qualifications:*
The Security Analyst should have the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations
related to information security and data confidentiality.
- Desktop, server, application, database, network security principles
for risk identification and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal
and consultative skills.
- Good technical writing skills for internal/external department use.
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
certification preferred.
*Job Duties:*
· Design and write the Security Charter for the agency.
· Develop the Incident Response Plan.
· Design and write the system security plans for each program area.
· Implement the Security Awareness Training plan for all users.
· Create policies, standards and guidelines for:
o Password strength
o Removable media
o Handling of PII data
o Data security responsibilities for end users regarding viruses, spam
and malware
o Internet Usage
o Work from Home Policies
Experience with the following technology is a plus. Specific vendor
experience is not as important as hands-on experience and a fundamental
grasp of underlying technologies/concepts.
- Experience with PCI and HIPPA compliance
- Experience with Mobile Device Management
- Experience with incident response best practices
