*Job Description*:
We are seeking an amazing Oracle Database Administrator who will accomplish
the following:
• Management of large scale databases - including installation &
configuration, backup & recovery, performance analysis, tuning, capacity
planning/forecast, patch management, security and design.
• Collaborates with DBAs, Developers, and Architects in troubleshooting
database and application errors.
• Actively monitors the database environment to ensure optimal performance
and to prevent production issues.
• Opens and Follows-up on Service Request tickets with Oracle/other-vendors
Support to quickly resolve problems.
• Performs Production On-Call Support on rotational basis, or as required -
including Off-Hours and Weekends.
• Confers with team members to determine impact of database changes.
• Provides direction on database tuning and operations.
• Provides support for database/application deployments.
• Works with Developers to ensure that we use the optimal
SQL/Stored-Procedures in the database applications.
• Produces complete clear documentation on changes proposed/made to the
database environment.
• Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge by attending
workshops, reviewing professional publications, interacting with peers,
establishing personal networks, and participating in professional
societies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

*Skill Requirements*:
• Oracle DBA with 7 + years experience in a mission critical production
database environment.
• Must have proven Oracle DBA experience with most of the following: VLDB,
Oracle 9i-10g-11 including Oracle RAC 10 &11, Oracle Clusterware, ASM,
Dataguard, Streams, Partitioning, Data Warehouse, OEM Grid Control, RMAN,
SQL PL/SQL, query optimization, backup & recovery.
• Must be a team player with excellent collaboration and people skills to
be able to engage in productive group discussions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication along with the ability to
articulate technical solutions for various audiences.
• Ability to interface with users at all levels of the organization and
good end-user support skills.
