The candidate must be highly skilled in Data Warehousing and BI architecture lifecycle such as dimensional modeling, ETL process, OLAP and Dashboards. The candidate is expected to have working knowledge of ETL & Reporting tools, and may work with one or a range of these tools depending on project deliverables and team resourcing. In addition, the candidate will drive all architectural strategies for BI efforts and ensure these strategies are being applied to solutions built. This is a working architect position defining organizational enterprise intelligence warehousing and reporting in a cloud based environment. *PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Define the overall data warehouse architecture (e.g., Data model, ETL process, ODS, Data Marts, Reports). * Architect and design business intelligence solutions, configuring BI services. Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. * Design dimensional data modeling to suit the BI requirement. Ensures that business rules are consistently applied across different user interfaces to limit the possibility of inconsistent results. * Design and direct the ETL process, including data quality and testing. Lead data integration in aggregating data from multiple sources into a data warehouse, scheduling data updates. * Evaluate, recommend/select data warehouse technologies (e.g., ETL, DBMS, Data Quality, BI). * Design and direct the information access and delivery effort for the data warehouse. * Define and direct the implementation of security requirements for the data warehouse. * Define metadata standards for the data warehouse. * Deploy reports, enhancements. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. * Provide oversight and mentoring to the BI Development team. Lead & assist programmers, leads, and analysts in designing solutions, resolving design problems. * Works on internal projects to enhance productivities through ongoing tools development and leveraging new technologies. * Incorporate appropriate changes from production or test regions into the data warehouse environment. * Serve as member of the development standards committee. * Develop methods of ensuring data incompatibilities among systems are systematically eliminated. * Monitor industry trends and identify emerging technologies that should be adopted. * Ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities. * Verify that the data in the warehouse and reports produced are in agreement with financial reports and other enterprise information. *QUALIFICATIONS* * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required. * A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Data warehousing and BI platform. * Experienced in relational database design, implementation & must possess strong SQL knowledge. * Experience with reporting system and data warehouse requirements gathering, analysis and design of ETL processes using Datastage, Informatica, SSIS or other ETL tools. * Expert knowledge of Data Warehousing, Dimensional modeling and Business Intelligence design principles. * Cloud based data warehousing and BI reporting experience is preferred * Strong knowledge of BI and reporting tools. * Knowledge of CPG business function is a plus. * Must be able to direct a team of BI developers assign and prioritize tasks, and provide mentoring. * Excellent analytical and program debugging skills. * Possess strong business acumen and consistently demonstrates forward thinking. * Proactively investigates new technologies. * Able to effectively work with ambiguous or incomplete information. * Have a working knowledge and understanding of architectural frameworks and best practices. * Ability to function under close deadlines with minimal supervision. * Superior oral and written communication skills. * Must be able to effectively and efficiently handle multiple and shifting priorities.
