Title: Oracle DBA/Data Architect/Data modeler posted on 2014-09-11 19:28:46 Job Description: *Required ExperienceONLY LOCALS* · 6+ years Oracle database administration experience on Unix and Linux platforms (Solaris, OEL), VMware, Oracle 10g, 11g and 12c. · 2+ years of data modeling experience in data warehouse environment · Efficient in converting logical data models to physical data models for implementation. · Fluent in at least one scripting language. · Operational knowledge of Oracle 11g Grid, ASM and RAC, Active Data Guard is mandatory · Substantial operational experience in a 24X7X365 environment. Job Requirements: *Field of Experience* · Solid understanding of Oracle internal architecture, and cost-based optimizer behavior for 10g, 11gR2 and 12c. . Solid understanding of canonical model and dimensional model. . Strong communications skills both oral and written, with the ability to influence peers to senior level managers. . Must be able to handle multiple projects and assignments concurrently while maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness with a minimum of supervision. · Experience in developing and deploying APEX applications. · Database development and administration tools, including Sql Plus, TOAD, and SQL Developer and Ignite. · Experience in the techniques used to build highly available, scalable, economically feasible and high-performing systems. · Solid background in datawarehouse principles and design. · Solid knowledge of Oracle RDBMS internals. SQL and PL/SQL design and tuning. · Knowledge in database modeling, backup and recovery, performance tuning, replication, encryption, Identity management, NoSQL, Hadoop etc. · Strong technical analysis and decision-making skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills. · Experience working in the financial service industry, preferred but not required.
