Job Description:
*Data Warehouse Tester*
Data Warehouse Tester who is strong with both reading and
writing in SQL to support our client in the Tysons Corner Area.
*Required:*
- Must be able to read and write in SQL
- Experience in reading data models
- Experience testing data integration (ETL) solutions in a data
warehousing and BI environment involving complex data transformations,
change data capture, and error handling using Informatica v9.5 and above
- Experience in Informatica Test Data Management (TDM) suite and test
data life cycle management
- Experience in Informatica Data Validation Option (DVO) suite to
automate ETL testing
- Expert in analyzing business requirements (source to target mappings)
and develop System test plans, test estimates, test strategies, test cases
and test data
- Familiarity with all types of testing life cycle (system, integration,
performance, user acceptance) in large data warehouse and BI environments
- Experience with Informatica Power Center client tools
- Must be well versed with Data integration testing best practices,
standards and processes
- Experience with Teradata, DB2 LUW databases
- Experience in developing repeatable testing process from various
source systems
- Experience in Linux and UNIX operating system
- Experience in defect tracking using HP QC and QTP and defect status
reporting
*Desired:*
- ISTQB certification
- Professional affiliation with DAMA or TDWI
- Deeper understanding of Data Warehousing and BI concepts in larger
organizations
- Ability to perform multi-tasking with minimal supervision
- Advanced degree in MIS, computer science, finance, economics, or
related field
