Job Description:
The Developer will work with the Office of Planning and Budget on the
creation and maintenance of its internal applications.
Responsibilities include working with a defined project team or stand alone
to create, maintain, build, deploy, diagnosis, design, develop and test
errors and enhancements to OPB applications. The selected candidate must
have expert knowledge of ASP, Visual Basic, ASP.Net, and Visual Basic .Net
technologies and other third party tools, be able to work with a diverse
project team, and work in a highly visible and changing project environment
with aggressive timelines.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
1. Create, Maintain, Debug, Build, and Deployment Process for OPB
Applications using .Net.
2. Assist in the building and migrating of software components to
multiple staging environments.
3. Work with software configuration tools such as SourceSafe and Team
Foundation Server.
4. Designing, developing, unit testing programming errors and
enhancements assigned by the Technical Lead or stand alone.
5. Ensure programming standards are adhered to throughout the project.
6. Following a project schedule and assignments as assigned by the
responsible Project Manager.
7. Reporting status to the responsible Technical Lead verbally and in
writing.
8. Working as a dedicated team member and demonstrate the ability to
clearly communicate with other team members.
Required Skills:
1. Four + years’ experience using the following technologies: Smart
Client .Net using VB.Net/ C# , ADO.Net Web Service T-SQL,
2. Four + years strong experience with Application build and deployment
process
3. Three + years with working knowledge of software releases,
versioning, change control and source control systems.
4. Three + years strong experience with Third party .Net Windows
Controls for User Interface.
5. Three + years in creating custom controls in Windows form using
VB.Net
6. Three + years ‘experience with full project lifecycle experience in
implementing Smart client .Net systems using SOA.
7. Three + years with .NET & server side development including data
access layer and Business Façade layer coding, exception handling and
integration with other server application.
8. Three + years developing solutions which include Web Services, XML,
SOAP, object persistence methodologies and application integration.
9. Project experience with ADO.Net, with Stored Procedure SQL &
Enterprise database development experience, SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS.
10. Project experience with Windows 2003 Server and IIS 6.0.
11. Project excellent written and verbal communication skills, team
skills and capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
1. .Net MCAD with windows Client Application or MCSD Certification will
be a Plus.
2. Team Foundation Server experience
3. Obfuscation experience.
4. ASP and Visual Basic 6
