The candidate will plan, supervise, and manage multiple medium-size projects and/or one large project at local, regional, or global levels. The project will be performed in collaboration with project team members and stakeholders. The candidate is expected to be able to deliver a COTS and/or SaaS solution, within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, complete IT project solutions utilizing the corporate System Life-Cycle (SLC) processes as well as identify and document system requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES •Risk and issue management, communications and stakeholder management •Responsible for timelines and deliverables that match project objectives •Responsible for the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements throughout the life of the project •Responsible for ensuring requirements are fully understood by both the key stakeholders and the technical team before solutions are designed and implemented. •Resolve conflicting end-user requirements •Follow Quintiles System Life-Cycle (SLC) and Computer System Validation (CSV) procedures, as appropriate •Collaborate with the Lead User, or delegated member of the applicable business group, to create a User Requirements Specification (URS) document and/or Functional Specification (FS) document as needed •Identify initial Business Case requirements & other pre-project activities (e.g., high-level requirements, project scope, objectives) •Recommend course of action regarding project issues/concerns, implement mitigation plans, then escalate risks and issues to senior IT management as necessary •Work with financial stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within financial and regulatory guidelines •Collaborate with project team to ensure timely delivery and quality of all project deliverables •Develop and exercise scope change control •Set and comply with Quintiles IT Project Management Methodology (ITPMM) •Support other groups as needed in production of Business Case •Perform project closeout, including Lessons Learned activities REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES •Bachelor’s degree •PMP certification •Experience implementing COTS and SaaS Solutions •Strong team leadership capabilities •Strong technical and business writing skills •Ability to guide users in identifying business requirements •Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences •Ability to develop training and support programs for global technology and process implementations •An understanding of current requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, and verification, and the ability to apply them in practice •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. •Significant experience with SDLC – Agile and Iterative development methodologies preferred. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Candidate should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years project management experience and a minimum of 3 to 5 years Business Analyst experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
