Complete Description:

The District of Columbia Office of Aging (DCOA) in collaboration with the
Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), is seeking a contractor who
will provide senior leadership in the technology and information system of
the Agency, proposes necessary upgrades to the network and hardware
equipment of the agency and its affiliate agencies, supervises computer
specialists and IT workers, and presides over IT-related projects.



Additional responsibilities also include:



• Provide technological guidance within the agency.

• Supervise information system and communications network.

• Evaluate existing hardware and software solutions, propose upgrades and
implement them.

• Evaluate the existing agency’s customer service platform and upgrade it
to better serve the organization and all its stake holders in every aspect
and implement the proposed upgrades in consultation with the Agency
Executives.

• Design, establish, and maintain a network infrastructure for local and
wide area connectivity and remote access.

• Evaluate the existing information system of the agency and implement
change in equipment/system changes if this is warranted.

• Evaluate and propose the information flow within the agency and affiliate
agencies and implement them.

• Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and
procedures of the agency’s information technology.

• Propose hardware/software solutions to accomplish the agency’s business
objectives.

• Identify user needs and resolve problems for our Enterprise Database
Systems.
