*Candidates must be able to relocate, skype interviews should be fine but

*Candidates must have strong experience in SAS 9.4 Administration*

SAS 9.4 Platform Admin that has experience administering Enterprise Miner,
Enterprise Guide, Marketing Automation, DataFlux, Data Integration Server,
Anti-Money Laundering. Proficiency speaking Spanish is a plus, but not
mandatory. Experience administering SAS in Windows, Unix and Linux is
necessary.



Familiarity in administering SAS Footprint that includes Enterprise Miner,
Enterprise Guide, Marketing Automation, DataFlux, Data Integration Server,
Anti-Money Laundering

h Checking the status and operations of SAS servers and processes,
including starting, stopping, and/or pausing the servers / processes used
in the SAS system intervening and troubleshooting when there are problems.

h Managing metadata repositories

h Performing and scheduling regular backups of the Metadata Server and
physical files

Monitoring, logging, and/or troubleshooting SAS servers and processes,
including error messages and using system logs or setting logging options
as well as options within SAS Management Console (SMC)

h Troubleshooting basic SAS server issues, such as system access and
password problems.

h Understanding SAS installation directory structures, where to find things
related to servers, configurations, content, etc.

h Familiarity with LDAP

h Administering the scheduling of jobs and reports

h Using SMC to administer metadata

h Adding new libraries to the Metadata Server

h Via SMC, controlling user access to various parts of the SAS system,
granting permissions to read, write, create or view reports and data within
the system V ensure that Users see only the information that they are
authorized to access. Create and configure libraries and permissions for
Users and groups of Users, and assign logins. Design, implement, and
maintain the security framework, including securing data at the library,
dataset and column level and leveraging ACTs and ACEs as applicable (with
access rights and privileges, user roles / groups, etc.) h (OPTIONAL: )
Creating an authentication plan for securing the SAS platform resources,
utilizing alternative authentication providers such as LDAP and Active
Directory

h Performing basic system administration tasks such as monitoring CPU / RAM
/ Disk space utilization, port utilization and running processes on
applicable OS

h In a logical, scientific manner, troubleshooting SAS-related performance
issues by working with customers systems administrators, network
administrators, web application server administrators, database
administrators and/or storage administrators

Understanding the concept of SAS repositories, what they are, why they are
used and how to create/maintain them

h Understanding how SAS interacts with third party software such as
databases, web application servers, etc. The customer has a lot of ACCESS
products so knowledge of SAS ACCESS is imperative.

h Resetting SAS passwords

h Assisting with problems pertaining to accessing the SAS server(s) or data

h Monitoring for availability and then installing updates to SAS software
(patches / maintenance releases / hot fixes, etc.)

h Monitoring and logging SAS servers and spawners, and then optimizing
memory usage or tuning servers for optimal performance

h Creating, modifying, and maintaining various folder structures within SMC

h Working with the customers systems administrator to secure server
resources and file systems to ensure SAS objects having a server component
are secure via the operating system

h Assisting customer users with SAS code from an administration perspective
(e.g., helping issue OS level commands from within SAS programs)

h Providing knowledge transfer, mentoring and expert advice to customer on
the efficient administration of the SAS system

h Keeping records of and documenting the entire SAS environment, including
detailed records of problems that have occurred and the associated
resolutions

h Interfacing with SAS Technical Support h Good oral, presentation and
written communication skills

Leading and/or actively participating in SAS knowledge-sharing activities.

h Grid knowledge is a plus as Customer will be purchasing SAS Grid in
