This position will also include working in collaboration with developers in other groups to ensure that the applications adhere to corporate standards and technologies. The candidate will be expected to follow standard development methodologies and practices. *Responsibilities will include:* Analysis, design and architecture, development, and implementation of new Brokerage initiatives using C#, ASP.NET and MVC. Support of Brokerage distributed applications including on-call production support. Candidate must possess or demonstrate strong leadership skills and relationship competencies. An ability to think strategically and break down concepts into work projects is critical, in addition to a proven ability to lead small teams and provide mentoring to team members. •7+ years overall IT experience including database development, architecture and design, and distributed applications development. •Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft development technologies •5+ years’ experience using C# /.NET ASP.NET/C# •Understanding of HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript are required. •Component & Object Oriented Development •Ability to understand and write UML models is preferred. •Experience with Microsoft .Net MVC, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Knockout and WCF Services is strongly preferred. •7+ years’ application development and implementation experience. *Position #2* *Title: .NET Developer* *Rate: 40/hr C2C* *Location: Glen Allen, VA* *Duration: 6 months + possible extension* *Job Description:* Consultant is rolling off in March, they are going to need to backfill him, so they are going to bring on another contract developer to help with the upgrade of their applications, integration of BPM and the Transformation project. (.NET, MVC, AJAX....he had Oracle too - also had some SQL Server). They need someone like him, but with Thin UI experience and UX experience. Angular JS is something that he had mentioned that they are using as well.
