I have a HOT contract that just came out for a Linux Systems Administrator with American Greetings in Cleveland, Ohio. The manager needs a contractor ASAP, so I am looking for candidates local to Ohio or PA that can start right away. On-site interviews will be requested only. Here are the details: Job Title: Linux / UNIX Systems Administrator Location: Cleveland, Ohio Duration: 1 year Revised Rate: $48/hr *Local candidates to OH or PA are required* Job Description: The System Administrator is a member of a small team responsible for administering a large and complex web server farm. They are responsible for installing, maintaining and monitoring the site's hardware and software. Associates at this level are considered subject area experts and operate with minimal supervision. They are expected to apply their base of technical, operational, process or project skills to identify opportunities for process improvement, lead portions of projects or processes, and bring new knowledge into the organization. Experience - External: * 4+ years experience with UNIX: Linux preferred. * 2+ years experience administering web servers. Knowledge of HTML, HTTP, and other related internet technologies. * 2 - 4 years required in at least three of the areas described below: - Administration of remote servers. - Experience with complex TCP/IP networks (networks that contain routers, hubs, switches, and VLANs). - Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols.
