 REQUIREMENT NO.1

Position: Oracle Developer/Data Warehouse Specialist
Location: NYC
Duration: 6 months

Description:     This individual will be working with the Derivative
Accounting Group (DAG).  They will be responsible for interacting with
Derivative Accounting Group Senior staff for the maintenance and development
of a Financial Data Warehouse (FDWH). There is also a strong emphasis on the
enhancing of the existing FDWH applications.  The position is one where the
pace is quick and the work is extremely diversified.

Responsibilities:
Potential areas of involvement include: Full cycle of Database/Application
Analysis, Design and Development, ETL tasks, Application Tuning, Backup and
Restore planning, Capacity planning, Project Management assistance, Document
the FDWH Application, Proactive monitoring of Application performance and
efficiency, Issue tracking systems and Versioning applications.
Working with DAG management on requests for information processing from
Business Units and other AIG divisions as well as outside consulting firms.
Assist DAG's project manager in shepherding the process to completion.
Potential Data Warehouse Specialist Functions include:
Project support: Provide Oracle Technical guidance and suggestions to
project manager for the full project cycle (planning, development,
implementation and enhancements).
Full cycle of Database and Application Analysis, Design and Development
Methodology: Develop and implement a consistent and standardized process to
develop and maintain the FDWH application. Including database modeling,
documentation, programming, testing, development of the production
deployment scripts, VBA interfaces support, ETL tasks.
Issue tracking systems and Versioning applications: Use the tools for
Issue/Tickets tracking (Clear Quest) and program versioning (PVCS).
Database Modeling: Create scripts for the creation and maintenance of the
database model; Design and maintenance of the objects relationships and data
integrity as well as other DBA tasks.
User requirements: Interaction with DAG team's accountants and IT Business
Analysts to gather functional/technical information needed for the
development of the applications.

Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Previous history of developing full cycle applications, including testing,
production support, application tuning. Financial background is a strong
plus.
Demonstrated ability to work on many tasks simultaneously and to shift
priorities at a moment's notice is essential.
Broad familiarity with a variety of Relationship Database Management Systems
(Oracle 9i/10g, Access, SQL Server), Development tools (PL/SQL developer,
Oracle SQL developer) as well as operating systems (UNIX, Windows, etc…),
computing platforms, IT  infrastructure, and network/systems management
tools.
Expertise with Oracle objects (tables/views/snapshots/synonyms, etc.) and
PL/SQL programming (procedures, functions, packages)
Minimum 4-7 years working experience with at least 2 years in Data Warehouse
developing and management experience; DBA experience is a strong plus.
Previous Project Management experience is also a plus
Experience working with a team of Business Analysts

Database Developer:

·         5-8 years experience with enterprise-level relational databases,
with a particular emphasis on advanced PL/SQL development with Oracle 9i or
10g. Exposure to full lifecycle of database development and management is
needed; candidates with strong relational and/or dimensional data modeling
skills, DBA, ETL and data warehousing experience will be strongly preferred.

·         Expertise with Oracle objects (tables/views/snapshots/synonyms,
etc.) and PL/SQL programming (procedures, functions, packages)
·         Must be able to write complex stored procedures and deployment
scripts with little supervision and no handholding
·         Hands-on knowledge of XML-related technologies, UNIX shell
scripting, PVCS and Clear Quest is desirable.
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be able
to communicate well with business users, BAs, project managers, QA analysts
and other developers.
·         Demonstrable track record of success, excellent team-oriented
skills, self-starter and agility traits

Title: Architect Windows XP desktop / AD environment

Responsibilities:
-Lend technical expertise to project tasked with analyzing and improving the
enterprise Windows XP desktop / AD environment across the following areas:
Security, Active Directory, Automated Software Deployment, Login Scripts,
Desktop image build and maintenance, Desktop software compatibility testing
and certification, Windows patching

Requirements:
-Proven experience with defining desktop lockdown requirements and designing
workable solution toward the lockdown environment on Windows XP.
-Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory, including
expert level knowledge and demonstrated experience with all aspects of
Windows security implementation at both the AD and desktop level, including
Windows group and local policy, OU management, and Security Group
management.
-Expert level knowledge and demonstrated experience with Windows XP desktop
engineering, i.e creating and maintaining desktop images, performing
software compatibility testing/certification, and managing windows security
updates. Knowledge of Windows Installer and creating MSI packaging a plus.
-In-depth knowledge and understanding of Windows XP registry, services,
drivers, file systems, etc. Should also have a thorough understanding of
Internet Explorer and JRE security and configuration.
-Excellent knowledge of Windows login scripts (PERL, VB) and other
automation tools.
-Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience with large scale,
automated, enterprise-level software deployment tools and best practices.
-Good familiarity with desktop hardware, especially dual-core processors,
video cards, network interface cards, RAM, and laptops and docking stations.

-Experience with Windows 2000/2003 Servers a plus.
-Knowledge of desktop enterprise planning and life cycles.
-Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills, self
motivated and possess ability to multitask.

Responsible for application testing activities, including writing test
