Data Warehouse DBA / Performance Analyst 18 MONTHS CONTRACT RESPONSIBILIITES: The DBA will be responsible for taking a lead role in the administration, optimization, and maintenance of the Data Warehouse and Data Marts databases. This position will be actively involved in the design, review and maintenance of database structures, and query optimization for reporting and ETL, and data management. This position has primary responsibility to provide operational support to the data warehouse/mart environments. REQUIRED SKILLS: •Experience working with high volume databases with partitioned data, performance and tuning experience is required. •Performance tuning/ Oracle development skills – Performance assessment, SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions and transactions analysis, thorough understanding of indices and statistics for multi-terabyte databases. •Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts, including and not limited to: star schemas, snowflakes, ETL processes, dimensional modeling and reporting tools (e.g. Cognos a plus) Experience working with and within cross functional Development, QA, Test and Functional Teams. •Excellent analytical skills, the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment and pursue a proactive approach to problem solving. •Strong exposure in migrating databases and data conversion requirements. •Database design - must have experience with logical and physical database design. •Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities EDUCATION/REVELANT EXPERIENCE: •7+ years of data warehousing and business intelligence experience •Extensive experience in Oracle 10g administration •Expert in sizing, capacity planning, backup, and recovery planning with multi-terabyte data warehouse solutions in Oracle environments. •Experience with Oracle Streams data replication •BS in CS or MIS required or related experience. • Familiarity with Web-based application development, framework object development experience, Oracle Relational Databases and J2EE platform development •Experience with TIBCO Data Exchange ETL a plus •Oracle DBA certifications a plus. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-USA" group.
