We are seeking a WebSphere Consultant for our Direct Client. Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 6 Months Job Functions: · Support of production UNIX/Linux based WebSphere system including: administration, deployments, trouble shooting, rapid problem determination and proactive monitoring. · Additional work with iPlanet/SunJava web server. · Debugging security problems with Siteminder, DB2, MQ. Develop shell scripts to create static content repositories · Participate in disaster recovery exercises. Requirements: · 2-5 years of experience with WebSphere, Mainframe zOS and web servers. · Knowledge of the WebSphere architecture, deployment manager, node agent, adminconsole and Hierarchical File System (HFS). · Understanding of IBM HTTP (IHS) architecture. · Knowledge of distributed WebSphere (AIX, LINUX) desirable. · Four-year college degree in related field or two years of college plus satisfactory completion of a programming curriculum from an accredited vocational or technical school. Preferred Skills & Abilities: · Knowledge of WebSphere 6.x, deployment manager, web architecture. · Web Server (either iPlanet/SunJava or Apache), UNIX or Linux, Siteminder and LDAP servers, and common network operations.
