The primary responsibility for this position is for creating, developing and maintaining the worldwide Hyperion Planning application. This person will provide the global production support including troubleshooting user data, reports and system issues. This position requires experience in a highly dynamic environment with high service level expectations. The person hired into this role will be responsible for Hyperion Planning/Essbase development & operational support on a day to day basis and therefore must demonstrate the following: - Understanding of Experi Financial planning processes, including revenue and balance sheet - Able to work with users in the finance and IT community to collaboratively evaluate solutions and alternatives. - The person hired into this role will also be expected to enthusiastically tackle the operation support tasks required to sustain the application. *Special Skills Needed* - Expertise in data warehouse projects using *Hyperion Essbase OLAP engine 7.1* - Expertise in operating support and managing all assigned applications with include production fixes on Hyperion Essbase & Planning applications - Experience is building dimensions using Load Rules File, Load data using Rules files, two pass calculations, defining UDA's specifying dimensions like Account Dimension, Time Dimension, Attribute Dimension as per the requirements. - Excellent in writing calculation scripts and MAXL Scripts - Experience with *Hyperion Planning (3x and higher)* in the area of design, deployment and database administration. Experience with other Hyperion Products (reports, Application Link, ESSCMD, MaxL) is needed. - Expertise with Hyperion Essbase calculation script and Hyperion Planning business rules. - Expertise with Excel reporting and VBA is preferred - Database query experience (eg SQL, Oracle, SQLplus) - Windows scripting experience - Experience with Hyperion Enterprise and SAP preferred - Bachelor degree plus 6+years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
