*UNIX admin* *Rate:$30/hr* Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6-12 months Environment is Primarily Sun/ AIX and Redhat Linux. Note that they were primarily a Sun and AIX environment, but are moving towards Open Source. >From a Web Services standpoint, they utilize WebSphere, and also JBoss and Apache (they are morning towards JBoss and Apache). Command line knowledge of the above environment. Will provide standard monitoring support, but will also be tasked with addressing/ fixing any issues that arise. 2-3 years of experience preferred (does not want people with 5-7 years because often get bored with support roles). However, we would like to present a couple of lead-level candidates, so a couple of candidates with more experience that have worked in support positions in a lead role would be good. I would target candidates we had targeted for the Walgreens UNIX positions, but did not proceed with because they were too expensive. As stated, MUST have command line experience. Will support a 24X7 environment *2nd position* *Unix Engineer* Rate:$40/hr Description: Experience building out and designing systems for the environment described above.
