This is my direct client opening for multiple *PHP Web Developer - TX, AR, OK or OR*. This is a 6 month Contract position. The Hourly rate is 40/hour. Job Description: We are looking for an exceptionally intelligent, talented and enthusiastic Senior Web Developer to provide support for the Publishing Team's suite of content-rich online properties. This position will work closely with the Web Producers and Technical Managers to innovate and create Web applications and widgets. The major responsibilities of the Senior Web Developer will be: - Designing, developing and debugging Web applications and working with development teams on larger projects - Using creativity to innovate new products to enhance Web user experience - Keeping up with new Internet standards and Web technologies (Web 2.0, AJAX, etc.) Technical Requirements The ideal candidate will have: - Expertise in working with PHP and MySQL - Proficiency with front-end scripting including: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX - Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design - Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM) - Exposure to other server-side scripting languages such as JSP, ASP, CFM - Exposure to object-oriented language, such as Java, Microsoft .NET - Familiarity with the LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) - Understanding and demonstrated adaptation of cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility concerns - Professional Web application development experience in building database-driven applications and Web sites - Experience with an MVC framework such as Zend, CodeIgnighter, CakePHP, or similar. - Solid Javascript coding experience and familiar with a javascript framework such as Mootools, YUI, JQuery, Prototype, or similar.
