" ONLY CITIZEN, GC's OR EAD’s " *Duration: Permanent*** *Location: Dallas TX* *Rate: Open (quote expect salary per annum)* * * *Role:* Business Intelligence Architect *Position Overview *** - The Business Intelligence Architect will perform a wide variety of duties to develop, coordinate, deploy and maintain Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence initiatives on behalf of MLS Data Management Solutions. - Essential technical skills include multi-dimensional and relational reporting, data modeling, data integration, web application integration and advanced Business Intelligence platform expertise. - This role requires a motivated leader capable of contributing at a senior technical level and mentoring indirect reports. - The BI architect must be comfortable interfacing with business users at both front-line and executive levels and possess a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and document business concepts. - This role requires a superior technical delivery capability, in terms of both productivity and quality of output, across multiple areas including data management, business intelligence and analytics. *Job Function*** 1.) Coordinate with internal and external clients to discover and document current and future requirements. 2.) Lead, in association with other Enterprise Architects, technical planning to achieve client solution goals by fostering innovation, ensuring robust, best-practices based design approaches, and adhering to defined development methodology and documentation expectations. 3.) Design, build, and manage database and BI infrastructure to facilitate client goals and objectives. 4.) Coordinate with Directors of Business Intelligence and Sales & Marketing for technical business development support during client sales cycles. 5.) Provide thought and development leadership on key internal MLS Business Intelligence product initiatives. 6.) Assist the Business Intelligence group to maintain, improve and re-engineer existing data warehouse and BI platforms where directed. 7.) Participate in the broader business intelligence community representing MLS including blogs, community meeting groups and conferences. 8.) Mentor fellow Business Intelligence team members and serve a key role in professional development of internal department staff *Requirements*** The current technical focus for the department is the Microsoft BI platform with the following requirements: · Understanding of best practices for design, development and deployment of the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform · Expertise in selection, development and deployment of multiple front-end reporting and analytics tools against the Microsoft BI stack. · Expertise integrating Business Intelligence tools within Microsoft Office SharePoint (MOSS) · Expertise integrating Business Intelligence capability with web applications · Expertise in PerformancePoint Server 2007, ProClarity, SQL Server Analysis Services, Reporting Services or Integration Services. *General requirements are as follows:* 7+ years of work related experience in business intelligence, data management, web application development or data integration Advanced knowledge of data warehousing methodologies, data integration techniques and analytics and reporting principles Ability to communicate and interact effectively with executive, business area and technical area personnel NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
