*Cache Developer with Epic Chronicles experience*

The location is *Pleasanton**, CA**.*

Project Duration : 12 months (Contract to hire)

MUST HAVE" EPIC Chronicles and Cache. The manager wants a strong Developers
who will work on Cache and Chronicles backend development.



   - The Cache and Web Service Developer will be creating, maintaining and
   helping to mature web presence, for the Kaiser Intranet. The developer will
   be responsible for creation of concept, design, testing and maintenance of
   web sites, pages and applications. Will meet frequently with staff before
   and during project, to ascertain requirements, and also afterwards to train
   staff in the proper maintenance of web pages and proper use of web
   applications. General duties will include all aspects of web development
   from technology to functionality to graphics. Uninterrupted availability
   during the initial phase of development will be critical.
   - Program in Epic Chronicles and Cache on an AIX platform
   - Analyze, design, support, customize and implement interfaces, reports &
   extracts into and out of Epic Chronicles-based database.
   - Hands-on code development
   - Design and implement rich web-based applications using J2EE/JEE and
   various other open source frameworks and technologies.
   - Drive UI design and usability innovation, also participate in usability
   testing? Provides on-call support and coordinates on-call response efforts
   as assigned.



*Required Qualifications: *

   - Hands-on expertise in
   - Chronicles data model and dictionary
   - Chronicles DBA utilities
   - Chronicles objects
   - Epics Cache code libraries
   - Foundations routines
   - Transaction programming points
   - Cache database concepts and journaling, shadowing configuration details
   - UNIX user with basic scripting skills
   - Must be proficient in JavaScript, DHTML, and XML
   - Must know how to optimize all formats for online viewing
   - Must know Macromedia Flash, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
   - Must be able to write and debug code in straight text format, without
   the help of a GUI interface.
   - Must understand J2EE to support HTML, as well as Java applets and
   applications
   - Must be able to develop Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) to provide a layer
   where the platform's logic is stored and provide functions such as
   threading, concurrency, security and memory management.
   - Must understand Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)
   - Must be able to employ agile development methodology: Example usage of
   CSS2 to segregate presentation layer from the HTML / XML content
   - Should understand modeling, UML, and modeling tools (ex: Rational Rose)
   - Web development experience (usability, layout)
   - Hands-on enterprise development and design experience (n-Tier,
   distributed component frameworks)
   - Experience with ORM (JDO, ActiveRecord, etc)
