Please Reply to [email protected] Position : BIOS SW Developer Location : Hillsboro, OR Duration : 12 Months Description: Years of Experience & Expertise Level: 8 years, experienced Project Description: In this position, the engineer will be developing key components of the low level diagnostic tests. These components include implementing Cache As RAM (CAR) modes for a variety of processors, modifying a platform's Memory Reference Code (MRC), developing low level diagnostic routines for complex architecture; i.e. AMT, IGD engines, etc., converting C# code into assembly routines to improve at-speed testing, and determining diagnostic development priorities. Daily Responsibilities: Necessary Skills (Must Have): Candidate must possess several years of BIOS development experience. Additional qualifications include: - In-depth knowledge of Basic Input Output System (BIOS) and IA32 PC architecture - Expert knowledge in assembly programming language and C - Strong knowledge of PC internals details - Ability to program in both real and protected mode - Strong low level debugging skills that enable the root causing of issues at the BIOS and hardware level - Familiarity with In-Target Probe (ITP) (Enabled Intel tool) or other versions by American Arium, Asset or ITT, --Experience or knowledge in the following BIOS fields: Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), or other 3rd party ie Phoenix Bios.
