Wireless AP configuration and network set-up. Description: Our client, a leading electronics/semiconductor corporation, is looking for an experienced professional for the following: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR Part-time * 20 hours per week for 6+ months on-site in Oak Brook Terrace, IL Project Description: Responsibilities will include: Setup and utilize SQL and administration responsibilities on servers. Install and utilize Cygwin for connections between Linux systems and servers. Responsible for maintaining servers and ensuring connectivity, setting up multiple clients that connect to one server in temporary lab projects and any custom OS or software support needed in the Lab environment with the ability to understand LNSP under EC written guidelines and process Other Daily Responsibilities: . . Assemble, build, and configure test machines for project testing and demos . Assemble, Build and configure Servers for project testing and keeping license servers running. . Maintain lab hardware (desktops, notebooks, servers, test rigs, test equipment, and peripherals) . Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to maintain productivity . Locate, test, and configure hardware for demo/test . Perform ongoing hardware reengineering to accomplish testing . Assist with problem solutions for development tools . Provide local networking support for lab equipment . Assist with installation, configuration, and registration of wireless test devices . Assure IT compliance for all non-IT network connected hardware . Primary contact for hardware/software questions Necessary Skills (Must Have): high end technical expertise in: 1. Server/network administration 2. Provides advanced support to MS Server, Apple or Unix/Linux in a standalone environment as required. 3. Wireless AP configuration and network setup for external events and Labs. 4. R&D break / fix with limited involvement from Intel personnel 5. Moderate VoIP skills Additional Skills Desired: Break fix of current OS's and Platforms Good interpersonal skills Positive Customer service PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PART-TIME CONTRACT which will be 20 hours per week for 6-9 months.
