Experience with network equipment like routers and switches . Experience with database setup like Oracle, mysql, etc. . Familiarity with windows server OS (2003 and older) and windows media server . Testing automation using scripts and commercial tools is strongly desired . General experience with network switching and routing protocols, like VLANs, BGP, OSPF . Ability to support a development and system test environment . Experience with OS level tuning (tcp/ip, filesystem, etc) for optimal performance . Server engineering experience is strongly desired . Strong documentation skills are a plus . Ability to work with external storage using veritas . SAN knowledge and configuration expertise . Create software in pkgadd or rpm format for deployment .
