Position : Data Center Operations
Location : Stamford, CT
Start Date : ASAP
Job Description :
Participate in Patch management of Wintel servers
o Need to follow the CFR 21 part 11 procedures for validated systems
· Help the team in Wintel server hardware refresh
· Support and troubleshoot wintel server hardware and OS issues.
· Racking and stacking of computer equipment in the data centers.
· Open problem or change management tickets in Helpdesk system as
needed
· Make sure all appropriate logs are filled out by any data center
visitors
· Make sure the Data center is kept clean and free of any cables,
equipment or garbage
· Run fiber and/or copper cable for both Network and SAN
infrastructures in the data center
· Assist various support teams with day-to-day miscellaneous work
· Build Windows based server – both virtual and physical as needed
· Create documentation as needed
*Skills*
· Minimum of 5 years of IT experience needed
· Strong Windows NT/ 2000/ Windows 2003 operating system
experience. Knowledge of Windows 2008 a plus.
· Hardware knowledge is a must
*MUST HAVE*
· 1-3 years of Vmware ESX experience is required
· Knowledge of Citrix a plus
· Need to work in 2nd shift (2PM-10PM)
