6-monthS contract position Candidates must be able to identify system scope and objectives to develop or modify complex information systems under general supervision. Individuals will be responsible for preparing detailed specifications to write programs and must be able to analyze and rev ise existing system logic difficulties and documentation as needed. Analysts must be capable of working on phases of application systems performing analysis activities that require instruction and guidance and may be called to use UML modeling tools. *Skills:* * Support entire system development lifecycle to ensure the customer*s requirements are accurately designed, constructed, tested and properly deployed into the production environment. * Work independently and deliver predefined outcomes with minimal supervision. * Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, presentation, and organization/planning skills. * Strong proactive problem solving skills pooled with the ability to work with ambiguity and change. * Identify project related issues, gather requirements, identify alternatives and communicate information to all types of audiences (IT and * Business*). * Working knowledge of MS desktop tools (Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point) along with conceptual and logical data modeling. * UML design, workflow, *business* process modeling experience. UML certification a plus. * Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time. * Knowledge of internet technologies and multi-tiered application architecture with prototyping/developing web based concepts a plus. * Consult/mentor team members in relation to *business* analysis techniques, standards, processes, policies, and procedures. Requirements: * Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science and/or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience. * 3 - 5 years related IT work experience with analysis, design, and testing activities on software development and maintenance projects in medium/large organizations. * 2 - 4 years experience building Functional Requirements, Use Case Diagrams, Use Specifications, and Test Cases that define system functionality within a given context. * 2 + years in the Health Insurance Industry in a multiplatform (Mainframe, Windows/.NET, HP3000, and UNIX) environment preferred. * The first position requires; HIPAA X12/EDI 835, 270, 276, Web services, BizTalk, and SQL. Remittance Advice processing and EA Sparx a plus. * The second position requires; Web services, SQL, Customer Voice Portal and IVR processing (build & design) as well as HIPAA X12/EDI 835 transactions.
