** *Position : **Oracle DBA*** *Location : **San Francisco, CA 94105* **** * * *ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES – NO RELOCATIONS* * * ** ** *Description :-* · Senior Oracle DBA, with ability to execute Change Requests and troubleshoot production problems in complex environments, on a number of different operating systems and file systems. · SQL Server and DB2 experience (1 of 2, at least) is also desired. · Environment is unforgiving of errors and mistakes, as these can easily cause production outages. · Need *strong command-line orientation, Remedy, HP OV, OpsWare, DB Artisian, and Toad* are tools employed. · *Oracle RAC, ASM, versions 9i through 10g** are supported, Veritas, Data Guard, raw file system knowledge and experience is strongly desired. * · Seeking only senior DBA's experienced in unforgiving production environments; *DB2 / SQL Server / MySQL experience is also needed. * · Problems are diverse, the most complex, and resolution requires advanced troubleshooting techniques involving complex data analysis. · Diversified and complex duties requiring an extensive knowledge of a particular field, the ability to determine the appropriate course of action based on complex and competing issues, the use of ingenuity and judgment to deal with issues not easily evaluated.
