*Position: Senior Application Analyst /Business Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC*

*Duration: 6 Month Contract*

*Rate: $45-50/hr (Not Negotiable)*

The role of the Senior Application Analyst is to serve as the liaison
between the business community and IT to analyze requirements for delivery
on the Web leveraging a strong knowledge of e-business strategies and
solutions across CLIENT lines of business.

Plan, conduct, and may direct the analysis of complex business issues to be
solved with process changes and information systems.

Apply a broad knowledge of various business processes and functions and
technical expertise to accurately anticipate organizational impacts.

Must be able to facilitate business requirements gathering and definition in
various formats including joint collaboration sessions with business and IT,
targeted Q&A sessions with multiple Subject Mater Experts, and one-on-one
user interviews in order to provide solutions that meet business and user
needs.

Should possess business domain expertise in eBusiness to support and
understand the systems and capabilities of IT.

Works with the User Experience and Design teams to effectively apply Web
User Interface standards / protocol to address business, user, and
functional requirements.

Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications
and manage changes to specifications.

Negotiate deliverables by facilitating communication between business
unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.

Analyze business partner operations to understand their strengths /
weaknesses and determine opportunities to improve / automate processes and
functions.

Participate in the recommendation of buy vs. build vs. re-use decisions.

Serve as liaison with Quality Management to insure test and integration
plans meet requirement objectives.

Follow rigorous SDLC and project management life cycle and best practices,
comply with internal Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other compliance related
processes and adhere to Change Control and Problem Management procedures.

*Tasks and Responsibilities:*

   - Should have practical knowledge of web applications and eBusiness
   strategies and solutions.
   - Ability to understand and clearly communicate business and IT risks and
   challenges to subject matter experts using business terminology.
   - Practical knowledge of IT areas and ability to properly assess IT areas
   impacted by business requirements. Ability to clearly communicate business
   needs to technology subject matter experts using IT terminology.
   - Ability to assist in prioritizing and scoping projects based on
   business impact, expected timeframes, costs, etc.
   - Ability to understand which business processes are impacted by new
   business requirements.
   - Advanced knowledge of the IT organization and systems in use with
   ability to understand which systems are impacted by new business
   requirements.
   - Ability to review business requirements and discuss high-level options
   for implementation based on time/scope/cost constraints.
   - Basic knowledge of process modeling and structured analysis.
   - Ability to create and understand use cases, flow charts, and other
   basic modeling techniques
   - Ability to identify, justify, and model areas for business process
   improvement across the enterprise and within the specific business area
   being supported
   - Advanced problem solving skills such as strategic planning and
   enterprise analysis.
   - Can manage problems to successful resolution.
   - Ability to distinguish what from how, business requirement from
   functional solution and understanding of functional decomposition
   - Experience with requirements based testing and test script creation
   - Extensive experience with eliciting, defining, and documenting end user
   requirements. This includes identifying gaps in requirements, resolving
   inconsistencies, and prioritizing requirements
   - Advanced familiarity in Quality Management techniques such as test plan
   creation and use case based testing
   - Good people / relationship management, and relationship building skills

   - Strong communication skills including effective listening, oral, and
   written communication
   - Basic Project Management skills
   - Ability to effectively run a meeting; Focus a small to mid size group
   (up to 10 people) on common objective
   - Ability to work effectively with virtual teams
   - Ability to constructively give and receive feedback as well as manage
   change
   - Ability to facilitate a large group (10+ people) to a common objective
   - Exhibit good conflict management skills and advanced negotiation
   techniques
   - Ability to exhibit strong leadership and teamwork skills in the
   appropriate settings
   - Experience with Caliber Analyst or other requirements management tools
   a plus.

*Required education/experience: *

   - Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science,
   Information Systems, or other related field.
   - 5 plus years of IT work experience in applications programming /
   analysis.
   - Excellent working knowledge of systems / applications software and the
   Information Technology industry; understands their role in supporting
   business requirements / technical solutions.
   - Serves as point of escalation for complex issues.
   - Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as
   coordinating groups of IT staff.
