Position           :     Oracle eBusiness Analyst

Location          :     Westborough, MA

Duration          :     8 Months 

 

 

Note: Location is Westborough, MA but will be relocating to Waltham, MA in June 
2009

Duties: 

. Work closely with clients, and be able to collaborate on current/proposed 
Oracle eBuisness config. (will need to be aware of Peoplesoft/eBusiness/Bridge 
relationships) 

. Gather requirements and provide detail analysis of current gaps and 
recommended solutions. 

. The Resource, in collaboration with business clients should have enough 
knowledge of Oracle eBusiness suite to configure and test the system with 
minimal assistance. This will allow them to provide complete solution proposals 
(preferred standard eBusiness config else work around). 

. Resource will be responsible for Building software, testing, prepping test 
data, working with business support, transferring knowledge & implement 
solutions to allow the company to continue to operate with multiple systems 
until a global solution is implemented. 

. Review Oracle eBusiness AR/AP configuration, and align with corporate 
accounting standards (see C1.12) 

. Develop detail analysis/design to activate and implement an automated 
solution that does not require human intervention. On review of the 
analysis/design a decision will be made as to its viability (see C1.2, C1.7) 

. Work with feeder system's and associated interfaces and ensure feeds comply 
with AR/AP requirements. Where required adjust interfaces/process so that they 
are brought into compliance (see C1.2) 

 

 

Skills:  

. Review current home grown process. 

. Develop/upgrade current home grown process to generate the appropriate 
accounting entries, providing an automated process that does not require human 
intervention. 

. Correct feeder system interfaces to comply with standards 

 

Allocations/Burdens (see C1.2) 

. Design and build a process that will allow clients to load/compile/verify 
burden rates online within the oracle system without any IS intervention. 

. Upgrade and test allocations to accommodate new accountability models. 

. Schedule all allocations/burdens via Batch ESP. 

. Build processes to automate all manual control checks, and parameter updates 
ensuring that the allocation/burden process is able to execute with minimal 
human intervention, and control checks automated resulting in operational call 
outs via ESP. 

. Research and design/build/test to solution to correct burden performance 
problems ensuring that all number are in by 6am in the morning of the first 
work day. 

 

Reporting/Datamart/HFM 

. Assist in the development of additional reporting requirements to meet 
business needs (see C1.2, C1.5, C1.1, C1.7) 

. Review/upgrade and Business objects/Datamart elements/structures meet 
business requirements. 

. Resolve timing issue's with providing information to the datamart. 

. Detail design/analysis/build & config Oracle & Peoplesoft allowing for the 
retirement of the HFM system. 

. Review & provide proposal to convert Oracle eBusiness/HFM systems 
configuration and align with UK fiscal year (April-March) - currently set to 
calendar. (currently it is a workaround) (See C1.2) 

. Ensure all financial & control reports are published to Documentum not just 
FSG reports. 

Interfaces, automation & controls (Compliance & Governance) 

. Review all process scheduled via concurrent manager and build scripts 
required execute via ESP schedule (See C1.2) 

. Build scripts to automate the update of parameters, to ensure ESP schedules 
can run unattended (ops yes, bus no). 

. Build scripts to automate the various control checks done by users and 
schedule via ESP within the schedule at appropriate points, ensuring automated 
callouts at failure points. 

. Work with feeder system's to ensure that their feeds are automated and that 
the quality data requires no human intervention. 

. Implement autoposting/suspense processing for all feeds. Where there is a 
problem provide/build a solution that will enable autoposting/suspense 
processing. 

 

 

Critical success factors for project 

. Resource must be assigned fulltime to project 

. Resource must excellent communication skills. 

. Resource must have a strong accounting/process background. 

. Resource must be both functional & technical. 

. Resource must be a self starter, think out of the box. 

. Resource must be able to work under pressure/tight deadlines. 

.Resource must be a strong team player and have a thorough understanding of 
complete Oracle eBusiness suite (G/L, Projects, Supply Chain) 

 

**This position is considered Techno-Functional - must have analytical ability. 

**Preference is given to local candidates (New England area) 

 Education:       BS Degree
