Network tester/SQA Engineer* *Location : Culver City, CA* *Req ID # 3058996* *Duration : 3+ Months* Duties: - Work with established team of SQA Analysts, SQA Engineers, and Developers on Win32 platforms. - *Responsibilities include writing and maintaining test plans, processing defect reports, and black box testing. * - Define, document, verify, and execute test cases including functional and regression testing. - This person will suggest, implement, and evaluate approaches to testing strategies in the test environments. - Self-starter who is able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. - Must be able to deal with ambiguity, maintain priorities, learn quickly, and have good time management and problem solving skills - *Knowledge of PC software/hardware setup and configuration Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 (OS internals, registry, file system structures, security, etc.), and network fundamentals are required. * - Strong analytical skills are critical, as is a basic understanding of QA principals, methodologies, and planning. - Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. - Knowledge of Active Directory, IIS a plus - Ability to troubleshoot and work around problem areas of products. - With some minimal supervision, implement, document, and evaluate approaches to testing strategies in multiple environments and across a wide variety of platforms and products. - Perform tests, report problems encountered, verify defects and issues reported when fixed, and document test procedures to verify problem fixes. Execute comprehensive test plans, processing defect reports. - PC hardware/software setup & configuration. Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards set forth by the Product Unit. - some of the platforms that the analyst may work on: Windows - NT / XP / Vista - Longhorn / Linux / Unix / AIX / Embedded/ AS/400 *Skills:* - Minimum 1 - 2 years of software QA using and troubleshooting software at the black box level. - Strong analytical skills. A general understanding of contemporary software QA / test principles, methodologies, and best practices. - Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to follow testing procedures, with accuracy and speed. - Education: Associates degree - 2 years or equivalent.\nProfessional Certifications a plus = *REQ:# 2. Network SQA Engineer* *Location : Mountain View* *REQ ID# 3058945* *Duration: 6-12 Months* *Skills: * Strong knowledge of Layer 3 to Layer 7 networking protocols Should be able to understand Performance requirements, define Profiles, and execute Performance testing for Intrusion Prevention System/Firewall. Strong knowledge and Proficient in Performance tools from Spirent Avalanche/Reflector, Smart bits and IXIA IxLoad Good knowledge about Intrusion Prevention System and Firewall technologies Strong knowledge of networking tools Wireshark, Netcat, etc Strong knowledge in configuring servers/clients and required tools to get the traffic captures Strong knowledge Programming skills in C/C++, and automation skills using PERL, MySQL, TCL/Expect Strong understanding of QA methodologies *Duties:* Work with established team of SQA Analysts, SQA Engineers, and Developers on Linux platforms. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining test plans, processing defect reports, and black box testing. Define, document, verify, and execute test cases including functional and regression testing.
