*Role: System Administrator* *Duration: 6 Months* *Location: Raleigh, NC* ** *Rate: DOE( As Low As Possible) As the position is moving fast pleasee send me with the contact details and billing rates.* *Skills/Responsibilities:* The Employment Security Commission is seeking a short term (approx. 6 month) contractor to support the extension of ESC Unemployment Insurance claims processing and administration in a time of extremely high unemployment in North Carolina. The current staff of 8 employees supports more than 100 servers. Contractor support is required to support extended business hours without negatively impacting support for monitoring, operations, and troubleshooting host systems. The selected contractor will collaborate with ESC’s Network Engineering Technical Support Team for network deployments, firewall configurations, and troubleshooting, and User Services team for account management, authentication, and resource authorization. *Technologies employed by ESC include:* • Novell Operating System v. 5.1 and Novell Directory Services (eDirectory). • Windows Server 2000 and 2003 operating system and Active Directory, • HP Proliant hardware models ML, DL, and BL (blades) in “p” and “c” series builds, • Trend Micro anti-virus (Office Scan), • McAfee Enterprise Encryption, • Symantec Net Back Up and Backup Express enterprise class and server class backup systems for central and local office servers. • BMC Magic Help Desk. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:* • Minimum of 3 years experience supporting Microsoft Server 2000 and 2003 operating systems and Active Directory • Minimum of 2 years experience supporting Novell 5.1 and eDirectory • Minimum of 1 year experience as systems administrator of Trend Micro Ant-Virus. • Minimum of 1 year experience as system administrator of Safeboot (McAfee Endpoint) Encryption. • Minimum of 1 year experience as system administrator of Symatec Net Back Up. • Strong consulting skills necessitated by the need to collaborate with ESC employees in the assigned work unit as well as network specialists, Microsoft Windows server systems administrators, and desktop support staff in other units.
