*This developer will be developing a touch screen Kiosk application for the
retail industry. *

Our typical project focuses on the presentation and middle tiers. In most
cases, the client will handle the back-end, database, and interfaces into
legacy systems. On one project, the challenge may be to build a
touch-screen kiosk; on another, the challenge may be to re-think the
workflow and informatics display for a web app. Pride ourselves on tackling
the hard issues in presentation-tier development using Microsoft and Adobe
technologies.

As a Senior Developer, you will join one of our project delivery teams. You
will collaborate with Designers, other Developers, BAs and clients to
jointly deliver RIAs and/or Rich Desktop Apps.

*Duties:*

· Under direction of the Tech Lead/Architect, design, develop and
implement C# and WPF code for the presentation and middle tiers.

· Communicate, communicate, communicate – about your status, about
any roadblocks, and about good ideas to improve our ability to delivery
value-added business functionality.

· Spend the majority of your time (80%) in the code. The remainder
of the time is spent collaborating with BAs/clients to clarify requirements,
demo features, coordinate with other team members.

· Reinforce the use of Agile development practices.

· Participate in user story estimation and task decomposition.

· Make stuff happen.

* *

*Qualifications:*

· Overall 6-10 years of development experience with at least 4-8
years in C# or other .NET languages.

· Experience working on a team of 8-15 people to build an
enterprise-grade app that went into production.

· Intimate knowledge of the SDLC. You have been involved at least
two projects from initial design through alpha/beta trials and eventual
production launch.

· In-depth understanding of how to build Rich Desktop or Kiosk
Applications using WPF. You must be able to comfortably discuss various
implementation challenges such as:

o Appropriate use of WPF, WCF, and MVVM

o How to integrate rich media, such as sound and Windows media files

o How to manage state, animations, and transitions

o Designer-to-developer workflow using Blend to create XAML files
which are brought into Visual Studio

o Limitations of XML/Web Services as a messaging layer.

· Strong data architecture background.

· Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

· Touch-screen experience is a plus.

· Agile development (XP, Scrum) experience.

· You appreciate the importance of the build automation scripts, the
Continuous Integration process, and the use of the nUnit framework.

· You care! It’s your reputation on the line.

This is contract position with an initial 5-month term, with extensions

Thanks & Regards,

Kevin
