Technical Analyst Position Description: The project needs a CNC resource who has experience implementing an infrastructure upgrade in the JDE One World XE and JDE EnterpriseOne environments. The incumbent will be responsible for the following: -Implementation of a software upgrade / migration from JDE OneWorld XE to JDE EnterpriseOne -Development of all technical documentation in support of this upgrade following the Merck systems life cycle (SLC). This includes Design Specifications, Unit Test, Integration Test, etc. -Execution of unit testing -Interface with middleware team to analyze and troubleshoot issues. -Communicating with project management to ensure that priorities and functionality are met. Skill requirements: JDE - CNC Knowledge, skills and experience Minimum of 5 – 7 years of JDE CNC experience. Experience performing a technology assessment Understanding of System Life Cycle software development methodology Must have JDE upgrade experience with OneWorld Xe to Enterprise One 8.12.; performing upgrade functions porting code and configurations. Understanding of JDE OneWorld Tool Set and environments; installation, setup, configuration of OMW for project promotion, package build and deployment. Experience with virtual servers VMware; Installing and configuring EnterpriseOne web server. Excellent oral and written communication Skills; Establish and maintain procedures and documentation Server administration, networks, workstations, print, batch queues, security, menu, and JDE EnterpriseOne application, problem solving skills, and troubleshooting issues. Experience in JDE 3rd party integration to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Performance tuning application on the server and monitoring Advance CNC functions (i.e. Datasource and OCM mapping); maintain and audit application level security Build and deploy various packages (project, ESU, ASU) in a regulated environment for test, and production.
