Job Description: - The Business Analysis team will help define solutions to resolve complex technical and business issues and play an important role defining business needs and solutions. This position will provide guidance and support for a team of business analysts, whose work includes analysis of business user needs, documentation, validation and traceability of requirements. Client is looking for individuals with human services and program eligibility experience backgrounds. The work includes requirements documentation, visual prototype design, application development sessions, test preparation, data analysis and documentation. This position will interface with multiple parts of the organization including business analysts, developers, testers, policy analysts, field staff and Managers and must be able to track progress and notify management of issues that require escalation. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: · Collaboration and Communication: This role requires excellent collaboration and communication skills, meeting facilitation skills, and the ability to present evaluation of alternatives and recommendations to the Project Leadership Team for the purpose of determining and agreeing upon the best resolution. · Provide leadership and mentoring for a team of business analysts. Must have in-depth knowledge of industry best practices for business analysis. Must have strong leadership and mentoring skills. Experience monitoring and reporting progress of work assigned to team members. · Provide information and guidance to the business representatives to ensure the approved requirements will achieve business objectives. Must be expert in business process knowledge to make technical and non-technical material understandable to business units. · Support and participate in visual design prototyping of web-based applications. Support web-design and user-interface layout for public and internal web based solutions. · Provide assistance to the Technical Development team in understanding the requirements and resolve any project conflicts. Assumes responsibility for the resolution of system and process issues and works with the appropriate technical and subject matter experts to provide a solution. · Develops project documentation including requirements specifications, user stories, test scenarios, design documents, and test plans methodologies in use by the project team. · Must be able to plan and perform testing, including documenting test conditions, expected results, and test validation. Responsibility may include test data setup and coordination of effort and resources/testers throughout unit, system, and user acceptance testing. Skills Required: · 9+ years of professional business analysis experience on Internet web-based development projects which includes experience gathering/translating requirements into design of software applications or dynamic websites with rich user interfaces on a variety of technology platforms; · 4 years experience working with developers on object-oriented design, data mapping and modeling, application development, and taking projects through an entire release lifecycle; · 2+ years of software releases and demonstrated knowledge of current technology trends and best practices; · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation and consultative skills; · Excellent mentoring and leadership skills; · Process oriented, logical thinking skills; · High level of analytical and problem solving skills; · Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts; · Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Visio or other process or flow chart tool (Axure, iGrafx, etc). Desired Experience and Skills: · Professional experience in human services organizations as it relates to developing client eligibility programs; · Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP); · In-depth understanding of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
