The role of the configurator Developer is to assist the Configurator team
implement enhancements, fix bugs and make operational changes to the
existing client''s production configurator models. The position will require
at least three years experience of Oracle Configurator Developer and
knowledge of Oracle Inventory and Bills of Material. In addition experience
with Oracle's AIM methodology is an advantage. Must possess excellent
interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should have a strong
technical and functional background. Experience with Java, Functional
Companions, JSP and PL/ SQL are also very desirable. Familiarity with the
Oracle Configurator MACD model and Install Base are also a major plus.
Candidates should be highly motivated problem solver willing to deliver
quality work under pressure and willing to work in a fast paced
environment...

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintenance and enhancements to existing configurator
models as well as the development of new models.
• Responsible for requirements gathering and documentation.
• Responsible for communication of requirements to the QA team.
• Participate in requirements gathering meetings with business users.
• Work on Configurator Developer user interface design and implementation.
• Manage the collection of test results.
• Update HP Quality Center during the release management process.
• Develop estimates for enhancement and bug fixes.
• Update and create new rules in configurator models
• Maintain and enhance complex configurator model structures in a MACD
environment.
• Provide production support for incoming technical requests from the help
desk.
• Participate in design reviews and present designs to technical and
business users
• Develop queries to provide production reports and analysis to the business
as well as for analyzing production issues.
• Work with other functional teams to solve production support issues.
• Participate in team meetings
• Document ways to improve existing team processes
• Responsible for providing regular progress reports to team management
Skills:
• Bachelor degree in business, computer science or equivalent.
• At least three years experience working with Oracle Configurator Developer
11.5.9 including model structure and user interface design, writing rules
and designing functional companions. Knowledge and experience with the MACD
model is preferable.
• Experience with Oracle Inventory and Bills of Material including item and
bill setup and maintenance.
• Experience developing functional companions a plus
• Knowledge of Java and JSP an advantage.
• At least two years experience working with business users to gather and
document requirements.
• Knowledge of Oracle's AIM methodology including experience writing BR030s,
MD050s, MD070s and MD120s.
• Knowledge of the Oracle Configurator CZ schema table structure.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Experience developing PL/SQL queries.
• The ability to translate requirements into configurator model structure,
rules and user interface designs.
• Knowledge of HP Quality Center plus.
• Self motivated and able to take initiative.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• The ability to follow well defined release management processes.
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• .Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• The ability to multi task. And still stay focused on release priorities.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
• The ability to acquire and absorb and apply complex business knowledge to
problems quickly.
