BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent is strongly preferred; will consider BA/BS in life science discipline, chemistry, biology, or equivalent if software development skills are proven. - Minimum of 3 years professional software development experience. - Strong working knowledge in Java and J2EE technologies including EJB, JSP and servlets. - Working knowledge of Microsoft / .Net technology. - Working knowledge of VB Script. - Must be proficient with WebLogic application server. - Experience with JDBC, Jakarta Struts, Maven, web services, service oriented architecture is required. - Experience with XML, XSLT, DHTML and related technologies. - Experience with Spring would be an advantage. - Sound grasp of PL/SQL and oracle environments. - Familiarity with c# and .net. - Complete familiarity with Unix and Windows environments. - Documentation skills. - A results-driven self-starter focused on delivering quality and timely solutions to Discovery. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
