Description We have an immediate need for a Sr Level Admin for Unix / AIX environment in the Miami area. This will will be a long term contract of at least 9-12 months. ** We are looking for a candidate with 4-5 yers AIX Admin experience. ** This person will manage daily workflow for team members, oversee server mgmt and change control, interface directly with client and account leadership, and manage all troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of servers. ** ** ** The position will include the following: -AIX Operating System Administration. -Setup, configure and administer AIX enterprise servers. -Including user account maintenance, files system creation and support, SAN based storage access, and server side support for the Oracle DBA group. -Analyze workflow and procedures to recommend operational support tools and technologies to meet business needs. -Monitor data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate system software and hardware solutions. -Analyze performance problems and recommends solutions to enhance functionality, reliability and/or usability. -Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. ** Additional Desired skills: -Administer IBM ESS or DS storage systems is desirable. -Knowledge of Tivoli Storage Manager is desirable.
