The Data Management Services (DMS) group within SR&T needs to fill a 6 month
Senior Data Warehouse Analyst/Developer position. The candidate with the
necessary knowledge, skills and abilities will need to start as soon.
Work Summary
The candidate filling this Data Warehouse Analyst-Senior position will be
responsible for the full functional knowledge of the Data Warehouse
concepts, development, and design. The candidate will recommend solutions,
test solutions, gain acceptance for solutions, and negotiate/coordinate
across multiple organizations for timely and cost effective deployment of
Business Intelligence applications. The candidate must possess technical
skills, architecture/infrastructure skills, and project
management/coordination skills.
Responsibilities:
The candidate filling this Data Warehouse Analyst/Developer-Senior position
will:
Full functional knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, development, and
design
Development of ETL solutions for legacy and new development
Provide business expertise for the development of Business Intelligence
solutions.
Provides technical expertise to the development and implementation of
solutions using basic dimensional modeling techniques. Make recommendations
for improvements in these areas, if necessary.
Provides technical support for existing Data Warehouse ETL processes.
Assures quality of design and implementation of projects.
Trouble-shoots application software/hardware problems as they apply to
design, implementation, or installation activities.
Schedules and coordinates application maintenance activities.
Participates in on-call, overnight off-hour production problem resolution
activities.
Follows DMS related standards and procedures, knows where they are located,
and incorporates them. Follows client software development processes.
Researches, evaluates, and tests new software and DW related tools and
facilities as they pertain to the existing DW environment and applications.
Monitors current DW applications and develops procedures, where necessary,
to improve the DW environment as required.
Identifies and supports quality improvement initiatives.
Performs other assignments to comply with the SR&T corporate purpose and
mission to add business value, increase revenue, decrease costs, improve
productivity, and support the strategic initiative/directive.
Complies with all client security and audit standards.
Manages the work of client vendors to achieve quality results at a market
based price using client SR&T policies and procedures.
