Good possibility that this will be a multi-year engagement, as is typical for this client Location: Crystal City, VA Compensation: Competitive Job Title*:* * * *Hyperion Developer: * * * Under minimum supervision, develops and maintains Hyperion modules in use at BNA. Trains, coaches and mentors co-workers in the use of the Hyperion module. Develops new functionality in the Hyperion System based on user requirements. * * *Duties: * · Ability to create a planning application · Load Data into planning applications · Setup security for users, groups and members · Analyze planning results in Financial Reporting · Strong understanding of the planning architecture · Strong understanding of the relationship between Planning and Essbase · Strong Essbase Development skills · Ability to create Essbase cubes and load data · Understanding of Accounting and Finance and Budget Planning · Strong Report Writing skills using Hyperion Financial Report writing tools · Ability to trouble-shoot system problems and acts as liaison with systems internal and/or external support teams or vendors. · Creates or modify, and maintains data forms. · Creates Smart View worksheets · Develops and/or modifies business rules, calculation scripts, task lists and financial reports. · Develops and maintains transfer of data between systems · Create or modify load rules, data backup and data restore scripts · Manages access permissions. Gives read/write access to Web Forms, Dimensions, and Business rules. Enables users having write access to change planning data directly in Essbase using another product such as Financial Reporting or a third-party tool. · Trains, coaches and mentors co-workers in the use of the Hyperion module. Reviews Hyperion-related work of co-workers. *Minimum Job Qualifications: * *Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * · Demonstrated ability to use and/or administer Hyperion. Ability to train co-workers in the use of this software. · Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). · Thorough knowledge of budgeting processes and operations. · Demonstrated ability to use accounting systems and PC-based software effectively. · Good oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with co-workers and others, both inside and outside BNA. · Ability to organize and lead the work of others. · Accuracy and attention to detail. · Ability to work effectively and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure. · OBIEE experience helpful *Experience: *Minimum three years experience with Hyperion 9.0 Developer and/or administrator. Cost and/or budget accounting experience preferred.
