Check this out and reply back to [email protected] if you have any resources along with the resume, contact details and the rate you are expecting. *Role: mainframe application production support* *Location: herndon, VA* *Duration: 6 months* statement: Role will be more involved with mainframe application production support - Facilitate Incident & Problem resolution – Identify, analyze, fix, follow-up and coordinate changes to resolve incidents and problems. This involves preparing data correction requirements, reading and analyzing application programs - Drive towards resolution and preside over incident conference calls. - Analyzing applications as well as infrastructure log files to search and perform deep dive analysis on warnings, exceptions and failures. - Reviewing and evaluating system performance and taking action to ensure stability of production environments. - Production support liaison with Delivery Services, Technology Services and Business Support areas. - Writing technical documentation, operational procedures, Incident and problem communications and preparing various system reports. - Taking part in after-hours on-call rotation schedule and weekend activities as required - Risk Mitigation that includes but is not limited to monthly application account asset certification and the accurate capture and storage of all related artifacts skills: - Mainframe, MVS, JCL, COBOL, SAS, DB2, & IMS (preferred) - Unix, Shell scripting and SQL skills. - Basic knowledge of infrastructure components such as networking, load balancers, firewalls etc. and security tools. - Ability to understand continuity plans, disaster recovery/fail-over exercises. - Basic understanding of programming languages, application architecture and release and deployment concepts. - Familiarity with technologies and tools that will be valued: Java/J2EE, webLogic, webMethods, ClearCase, ClearQuest, UDB, SQLServer, UNIX, NT, .Net, Gallagher and Remedy -- Thanks & Regards, Abhi [email protected] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Users" group.
