100% CLOSABLE OPPORTUNITY WITH MY DIRECT CLIENT - RESPOND ASAP Our client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for an Oracle DBA/ Oracle RAC DBA for a long term (6 - 12Months+) Located near Los Angeles, CA Role: Oracle DBA/ Oracle RAC DBA Location: Los Angeles, CA Employment: Contractual/ Contract to Hire/ Full Time Start Date: ASAP Rate: $Negotiable Duration: 6-12 months+ Essential Functions (Responsibilities): • Day to day pro active monitoring • Capacity Planning • Backup and Recovery • Resolving On-Call issues • Process Availability (Database Listener etc.) • Database Space Monitoring • Database Performance Monitoring • UNIX Activities (Monitoring CPU usage, Memory etc.) • Schedule Statspack to collect metrics • Instance Management • Code Management • Vendor Management • Working with Third Party Utilities • UNIX Shell scripting • Installation and Configuring the Oracle Database • Customer confidential information handling • Working on different versions of Oracle • Working on different versions of Sun Solaris • Data Modeling Qualifications/Requirements: PRIMARY SKILLS: • 6 plus years of experience in Oracle DBA • Installation and Configuring the Oracle Database • Data modeling tools like Erwin • Strong in Database backup and recovery concepts • Good in database monitoring / performance tuning • Good in Sun Solaris environment • Strong in shell scripting • Good in Communication • Good team player with abilities to work in larger teams • Good Performance Tuning Experience • Oracle Core DBA Administration experience in 9i & 10g • Exp on Unix platforms preferably on Sun Solaris • Conversant with shell scripting • Installation and configuring Oracle Nodes/Database on RAC • RAC DB Operations/Administration • RAC Database backup and recovery • RAC DB Performance tuning • SQL Tuning Desired: • Exposure to RMAN and Tivoli Storage Management • High Availability systems like Veritas Clusters / Sun HA / RAC • Experience in Oracle 9i • Ability to work in a professional manner, be flexible, and handle interactions with all levels of the organization and with external clients. • Self-directed, organized, and motivated.
