*Requirement *
To migrate an instance of Cognos 8.3 à to current version (stable)
They do not have a development environment
They do not have a data mart
They have (4) servers : Web/DB/BI/Planning Server plus a server running
Cognos (running reports & payroll)
They are using an ODBC connection to their iSeries (AS/400) platform that
runs their business
Their data is in DB2 so that ODBC connection goes to DB2 on (AS/400)
I think Cognos is running under Windows – I may be wrong
They have a backup machine
Other possible needs: connect Cognos to backup server so it doesn’t affect
response time on production
Possibly replace ODBC with
DB2 connect so it is running more native
Create a data mart
Create a development
environment
This consultant will be function alone.
They should have great communication and technical skills and an excellent
work ethic. If they get in trouble they should communicate with eRichards.
