Typically reports to a department manager or project manager. Responsible for analytical work - first level support evaluating threat alerts and other incidents to determine proper resolution path for each and then creating an action plan to follow through (investigations) to close case. Will be responsible for event coorelation, communication and reporting with other information security team members. developing new solutions, maintaining and developing new features for existing solutions, providing internal and external training and first level support for business systems. Candidates for this position need a strong background in IDS/IPS, Web and Application log files all aspects of threat management with emphasis on the use of analytical and reporting tools.
