Description: *SAP BPC Lead Consultant (functional-technical) * Location: Silicon Valley, CA Start Date: March 17th (Wed) **IMMEDIATE** Duration: 9 months ** *Job Description: * Seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Architect/Developer to take a leadership role in shaping and executing our *client’s Finance's Planning and Forecasting initiatives.* This person is responsible for the overall design and architecture of the company's Planning and BI systems, including data integrations, BPC development using Advanced SQL/MDX, and report delivery. The candidate will work closely with Finance systems, IT and FP&A groups to define requirements and develop technical solutions. During the project lifecycle the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, IT developers and QA analysts to ensure successful delivery of key projects. The candidate must be able to work through the various phases of the projects and take it to successful completion from beginning to end. * Other responsibilities:* - Assist in documenting functional and technical requirements. - Assist users with test scripts for user acceptance testing - Develop test plans with IT for each deployment release and maintain constant communication with the business groups throughout the deployment cycle - Manage and participate in user acceptance testing for each release - Assist in other projects as required *Requirements and Specifications:* - B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science (other majors OK with requisite experience) - MUST HAVE experience in MS SQL Server database 2005/2008, SQL Server Analytics Services, *SSIS ETL integration * - MUST HAVE minimum *4-5 years SAP BPC (Outlook soft) Advanced SQL/MDX logic experience* *developing and debugging logic* within the Administration console - Ideal role will be someone who has supported SAP BPC as an Administrator and was responsible for writing BPC logic - Minimum 5yrs experience with SSIS ETL Integrations - Experience with Oracle, other OLAP engines such as Essbase, ETL tools such as Informatica is a plus - Experience in performing FX Translations, Allocations, Capex/Depreciation/HR calculations such as Payroll taxes, benefit rates, 401K, etc - Strong understanding of .net COM applications - Good understanding of MS IIS is a plus - 12 years experience in Information Systems and Technology - Experience with BI tools such as Oracle OBIEE, Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects is a plus, but not required - Combination of experience in systems/IT working with accounting or finance a plus. - Oracle Financials knowledge is a plus but not required - STRONG written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency using Excel and Access required *Focus summary: * *Looking for someone who has worked as a BPC administrator and has strong technical* skills with developing logic using BPC admin console and experience *writing SSIS ETL packages*. This is a very niche requirement. There are consultants out there with SAP BPC experience who demand a higher rate but we are not looking for them as this is an ongoing development role who can provide production support and help with future enhancements. Ideally these candidates can be found working within the Finance organization supporting FP&A groups on their planning application.
