*Role: Oracle Web Center (Plum Tree) Production Support Specialist*
Duration: 12 Months+
Location: Atlanta, GA
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: $Negotiable

Responsibilites:

1) Provide technical and functional application support for the Client's
enterprise portal, built on Oracle Webcenter (formerly PlumTree and BEA
Aqualogic product suite.
2) Run routine maintenances procedures and health checks to insure the
proper operation of the portal.
3) Advise on and resolve chronic issues.
4) Ability to understand custom code, trace errors and analyze system for
design changes to ensure integrity, performance, accessibility, and
recoverability of data.
5) Manage/coordinate resolution of complex production support issues through
completion.

1) Work with other application support team members to troubleshoot issues
and ensure operational readiness as it relates to integration with upstream
and downstream systems.
2) Manage relationship/escalation to vendor BEA as it relates to issues with
configuration of the applications.
3) Assist with proactive capacity planning for the Portal environment as
usage and interdependencies grow.
4) Evaluate impact of patches to the application.
5) Define and implement monitoring requirements to identify issues before
they are reported by end-users.

1) Maintain application support documentation.
2) Act as on-call after hours support on a rotating basis addressing
critical and high-priority issues opened for other business critical
applications.
3) Deploy and validate changes to production during non-peak business hours.
4) Train team members and provide guidance, as needed for shared on-call
duties
5) Other IT Support related tasks as deemed appropriate by management.

Qualifications:

1) 5-10 years of technical support for enterprise web applications
2) Senior Oracle Webcenter (formerly PlumTree and BEA Aqualogic )Production
Support Engineer with 3-5 years experience to act as a lead and team
trainer, as well as, expert trouble shooter.
3) Experience working in a UNIX, Linux, Windows, OS X, and Oracle 9i, 10G,
Microsoft SQL server, .net, IIS technologies
4) Previous experience using an IT ticketing system for managing reported
incidents.
5) Previous experience using a change management system.

1) Proven analytical and problem solving skills sufficient to assess complex
problems and recommend and implement effective solutions
2) Able to make decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with
incomplete information, that produces effective end results.
3) Independently perform assignments with instruction limited to results
expected.
4) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5) Must have capability of working in a team environment to accomplish tasks
both individually and through working with others.

Overview/JD:

1) The Sr. Production Support Specialist, part of the Enterprise Application
Support organization, will provide technical and functional support for
Client enterprise portal applications. This includes the underlying portal
applications, administrative processes, customization capabilities, and
integration touch points to other systems.
2) Expected to function autonomously, performing assignments with
instruction limited to results expected. Must possess the ability to apply
problem solving skills in order to creatively deal to with complex
situations, and resolve complex problems.
3) Candidate should have extensive experience in an IT support and
operations role. This person will play an integral role in supporting,
maintaining and enhancing an enterprise-wide portal in a dynamic cutting
edge environment.
