*WebSphere Portal Architect – *
*Location: Chicago, IL*
*Contract Length: 6 months*


*Skills Required:*

* Very strong in both *install/configuration* and *development*; *HANDS-ON
architect* not just “white board” architect.

* Experience architecting highly-available and scalable *WebSphere Portal
6.1* systems with at least 3 years hands-on experience.

* Strong knowledge of *WebSphere Portal components, services and
frameworks*(WCM, PDM, WMM/PUMA, Personalization, Themes/Skins, Portlet
Wiring, Access
Control, etc)

* *Integrated WebSphere Portal* with *enterprise security systems* (*LDAP*)

* At least 5 years experience in *web-related development efforts using Java
*, J2EE, or related development techniques (AJAX, JAVASCRIPT, JSP, Spring
MVC, JAXB)

* Must have experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and
supporting *portlets (JSR 168).*

* Experience with *Web Services*, Dojo

* Experience with iterative design & development methodology principles.

* Experience in the use of *Security Integration* – identity management,
authentication, authorization, access control.

* Experience in use of *Personalization* – unique, configurable WebSphere
Portal experience for each individual user. User Interface visual design
awareness.

* Knowledge of unique aspects of *release management and automation* with
respect to portal architecture, design, and development of portal
applications.

* Knowledge of various methods to integrate existing applications into
portal

* Use of multiple virtual portals, IBM Web Content Management

* Performance testing and tuning of Portal

* Experience with UNIX / AIX.

* *Excellent verbal and written communication skills*
