ORACLE, RUBY RAILS* * * *Job description:* Client is looking for a candidate who can provide infrastructure support, specifically targeting system back-up and restore processes, storage and application hosting optimization, and system recovery strategies. This engagement is centered on augmenting existing client*s infrastructure support staff with a resource to perform the following tasks: 1. Review existing application portfolio and host server/storage/back up configurations 2. Review existing application and database hosting architecture 3. Review wide area network and remote site capabilities for potential offsite disaster recovery support Assist in developing a rating system for assessing the relative criticalness of client*s application and data resources 4. Provide recommendations on restructuring the client*s database architecture to optimize backup processes and disaster recovery objectives. 5. Create a report detailing recommendations for a "to be" design of interrelated data storage, application hosting, and backup facilities plus associated operating procedures presented at a conceptual level. (this might be viewed as blueprint).
