1) 7 yrs+ yrs of IT experience
2) 6-7 yrs+ of HP-UX, Solaris system admin exp.
3) 3-4 yrs + with Linux
4) 1-2 yrs of exp with VMware.
5) Good working knowledge with Storage systems/VERITAS clusters.
6) Must be Strong technically in HPUX 11.00, 11.11, 11.23 and 11.31
7) Networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system
8) Issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt
9) Good experience with HP MC/Service Guard {Must}
10) Good experience with HP-UX LVM {Must}
11) Must have experience with HP RP3340, HP RP4440, HP Rx3600
12) Must Strong with Solaris 8 and Solaris 10
13) Must have experience with Containers and Zones
14) Must have experience with IPMP, Kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting
System and perf issue, Package Management and Patch Management, Live
upgrade. Managing boot environments
15) Must have experience with SUN Servers like SUN Fire T2000, SUN Fire
v890, and M5000 servers
16) Must Strong with Linux RHEL 4 and RHEL 5
17) Must very good experience with VERITAS Volume Manager and VERITAS
Cluster version with 4.0, 4.1,5.0 and 5.1
Responsibilities:
1) Installing, supporting, and maintaining servers
2) Monitors system performance and capacity, and reports changes in usage
3) Forecasts system demand, recommends upgrades, expansion, and
reconfiguration
4) Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, takes appropriate
corrective actions and/or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing
testing, support, and troubleshooting functions
5) Participates in site set-up, user training, hardware/software
installation, maintenance and support, and documentation of
hardware/software logs and operating procedures
6) Performs basic user administration (adds, changes, deletes, disk space
management, backups and file restores)
7) Documents standards and operating procedures for a large based system,
and acts as a technical resource to the IT staff and systems users
8) Leads projects or subprojects including developing project plans,
assigning tasks and facilitating team process
9) Consults on technical issues
10) Troubleshooting hardware and OS issues on Infrastructure servers
11) Responding to server hardware, OS alerts
12) Creating users and groups; assigning user and group rights setting up
shares, volumes, and directories and monitoring servers, storage, and
operations events
13) To update new packages to all server software
14) Performs updates and maintains the antivirus software
15) On Call support once in a month rotation basis
