Role: DB2 DBA No of Resource: 1 Location: LA Duration: 6 Months+ Design, Develop and implement new database structures, support existing environments, and help ensure proper databse practices, and procedures, Developing and supporting a UDB or DB2 on AIX database Minimum 5 years I.T. experience Minimum 3 years designing, developing and supporting a UDB/DB2 on AIX database. Logical and physical data modeling and database design Database creation, maintenance, and management Metadata management Database performance monitoring, tuning, and management Indexing strategy and management SQL code reviews Database security and integrity Database backup and recovery General systems management and networking skills Strong understanding and experience with relational databases Superior communication and teamwork skills Pluses would include SQL database experience, and experience installing and managing data mirroring software Good Experience with versions 7 and 8.
